I’m honored and excited to announce that I won the Journey To Memphis Competition at the Waterfront Blues Festival and will be representing the Cascade Blues Association in the Solo/Duo category at the The Blues Foundation International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January!

Thank you to the CBA board members and volunteers for all the time and energy you put into making the Journey to Memphis competition a success.

The International Blues Challenge (IBC) is the world’s largest gathering of blues musicians. Hosted by The Blues Foundation, it brings over 200 bands and solo/duo acts to historic Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, for a week of fierce competition, networking, and live performances.   This year’s competition will be held January 19-23, 2027.

Notable blues artists that have competed in the IBC over the years includes Susan Tedeschi, Super Chikan, Fiona Boyes, Eden Brent, Michael Burks, Tommy Castro, Sean Costello, Albert Cummings, Larry Garner, Zac Harmon, Southern Avenue, and Watermelon Slim.
